Does anyone know of a notation software that is not so MIDI-oriented that it sacrifices functions crucial for modern classical music? According to the rosegarden handbook online, you can't get more than one voice per staff. I'm not sure any programs allow feathering beam angles. And I don't want to learn a text language -- guess that makes me a bad linux user. I'd hate to go back to Finale on Windows.

NoteEdit perhaps? They both use LilyPond for actual typesetting, meaning they can certainly do what you want in theory. If the can in practice, I don't know; I'm a metalhead. ;)
