hmm.. I'm not sure if slack is the way for me, never used it, and a bit newer to the movement... I'm also worried about drivers on my new motherboard.. my Onboard LAN wouldn't work with this machine at all which was quite disheartening. Anyways, I may try it out because I find that I'm quite the OS whore anyways, I'm always wanting to get my hands greasy with new flavors.

What chipset is the LAN on? I have an Nvidia2 board, and my research indicated the onboard LAN wouldn't work; but lo and behold, the same day I bought it, the drivers were put in the kernel. It runs like a charm.

yeah, it's my #1 place for audio software. :)

I've got a lot of software installed right now, but am doing little with it actually.

Nifty site. I haven't used Slackware for a few years, but I'm glad to see how active the Slackers still are.

Were you able to get the CCRMA stuff to work for you? Burned those puppies for myself recently, not yet tried...
